Embroidery is delicate stitching on a piece you'll wear weekly. A little care goes a long way — these are the same steps we follow at home.
Turn it inside out
Always. This protects the embroidered design from rubbing against zippers, other clothes, and the inside of the drum.
Wash cold, on gentle
Cold water keeps colors true and prevents the cotton from shrinking around the threadwork. Skip hot water entirely.
Use a mild detergent
Anything labeled 'free and gentle' is perfect. Avoid bleach, fabric softener, and any detergent with brighteners — they break down embroidery thread over time.
Air dry when you can
Lay flat or hang on a padded hanger. If you must use the dryer, tumble low and pull it out slightly damp. Heat is the enemy of embroidery.
Iron around, never on top
If you need to iron, flip it inside out and press around the design. Never iron directly over the stitching.
Treat your hoodie this way and the embroidery will still look beautiful three winters from now.
